WHEN & WHERE

Dates: Jan. 20, Feb. 10, March 9, April 13 and May 18, 2008 (all dates are Sundays)

Time: 9 AM (sharp) to 4:30 PM (7 hours with 30 minute lunch break)

Location: the lower “rear” meeting room of Belding Memorial Library

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT

The techniques will be demonstrated and articulated by the artist and be followed by student guided work exercises and paintings. The participants can anticipate taking home a small “finished” matted painting. The subjects will be selected or approved by the instructor (see examples being considered on this page) and there will be step by step instruction. There will be group and instructor led discussion and critique as part of workshops.
The class subjects will not repeat in this series.

ATTENDANCE, FEES & OTHER INFORMATION

The classes will require a minimum attendance of 5 people unless otherwise approved. A maximum of 14 people per class will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Anyone 10 years of age or older is welcome. Younger paying participants need to be approved and accompanied by fee paying adult. Seniors over 65 and children under 18 are eligible for 15% discount by request. The inclusive fee of $70 per session covers materials, advertising, building rental and instructor fees, coffee, tea and treats. Enroll in all five classes for $300 ($270 for seniors).

Food is available in Ashfield. Framing of matted student work is possible (optional) after class for an additional at cost fee.
